About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (#61554) and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (#S2948) with over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents of all ages. I am passionate about helping children and families navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges in a supportive and nurturing environment.
My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a relational, client-centered perspective. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Play Therapy, traditional talk therapy, and Sandtray Therapy, tailoring treatment to each child's developmental level, individual strengths, and unique needs. I also have specialized training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
I believe that building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to meaningful growth and lasting change. I take time to get to know each child and family so that treatment is individualized and collaborative.
Parent involvement is an important part of my therapeutic approach. I encourage collaboration with parents through guidance, support, and coaching to help reinforce progress beyond the therapy room. Parent sessions are available to discuss concerns, evaluate progress, and develop strategies that support each child's continued growth and well-being.
